The Haunting Quiet
3-8-26:
Well, LOGE has closed up shop here. They literally turned off the lights, locked the doors and walked away. The whole situation is still turn-key. Everything is still in the building. Beds are made and waiting for sleepers. The refrigerators are all still plugged in and running, though they did donate all the food to our local community cupboard via Upper Valley MEND. Sadly they didn’t leave the booze behind. We certainly could have found a way to make it disappear…. They may perhaps send people back to move some items out.
Otherwise, it’s pretty darn quiet here now with just the brewery in the basement and the various spirits that haunt this old sanitarium turned hospital turned offices turned hotel. We haven’t had direct ghostly experiences, but maybe now that we are the only ones left for entertainment they will come talk to us! In the meantime, we are also stuck having to now clean the bathrooms ourselves, so we put up a sign at the urinals for you fellas. “The hands that brew your beer and pour your pint are the hands that will pull your Zynz and gum out of this toilet. Maybe you’d like to use the trash can instead?” We’ve added a trash can right next to every toilet to make it as easy as possible to be a decent human being!
P.S. Due to the needs of securing the upper floors of the building, our primary alleyway entrance is currently unusable. We are hoping that can be solved in the future, but for the time being, just continue down the sidewalk to use the stairs into the patio and enter at the lower level.
